What Scentome is
Scentome is run by Bisztray Software, in Ontario, Canada. It helps you browse fragrances, compare prices and find alternatives people recommend. It is for information only: Scentome does not sell anything, and every purchase is between you and the shop.
Prices
Scentome reads prices from each shop's own systems for buyers in your country and shows them only while they are recent (how prices are checked). Shops can still change prices, stock, shipping or taxes at any moment, and converted amounts are estimates. The price at the shop's checkout is the one that counts. Scentome is not responsible for a shop's prices, products, delivery or service.
Fragrance names and trademarks
Fragrance names, house names and trademarks belong to their owners. Scentome uses them only to say which product it is talking about, and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any fragrance house unless it says so. Product photos come from the shops that sell the product.
Alternatives and "dupes"
When Scentome lists a fragrance as a clone, dupe, alternative or "inspired by" another, it reports what people say about how the two smell. It is community opinion about scent similarity, gathered and weighed as described on how it works. It is not a claim that the two products are identical, that one is made by or with the approval of the other's owner, or that either house endorses the comparison. How a fragrance smells to you can differ.
Quoted comments
Scentome quotes short passages from public comments, mainly on Reddit, with a link to the thread or page each appeared in and without the author's username. The words belong to their authors, and the views are theirs, not Scentome's. If you wrote a quoted comment, or own rights in something on Scentome, and want it removed or corrected, see how to ask.
Using the site
You may use Scentome for your own shopping and research. Please don't overload the site, get around its limits, or copy it wholesale.
Links and commissions
Scentome may earn a commission when you buy through its links, at no cost to you (about links). Other sites you reach from Scentome have their own terms.
No warranty
Scentome is provided as it is. It tries to be accurate, but it does not promise that prices, notes, verdicts or anything else on the site are complete, current or correct, or that the site will always be available. To the extent the law allows, Bisztray Software is not liable for losses from using Scentome or relying on it. Nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer law where you live.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
Changes
If these terms change, this page changes with them, and the date at the top moves. Questions go to hello@bisztray.com.
